Each division has fish categories which have three opportunities to win. 1st is $125, 2nd is $75 and 3rd is $25. For the most up-to-date announcements on prizes, like our official Facebook page and also check for updates on our rodeo website: www.navarrefishingrodeo.com.
The first 250 registered anglers are guaranteed t-shirts. When we are close to the registration of 250 anglers, an official announcement will be made through our website (www.navarrefishingrodeo.com) and also through our official Facebook page. Like our official Facebook page and also check out our rodeo website for the most up-to-date information. If it doesn’t say we are close to being out of t-shirts – then we still have them.
No, you will not win a prize because you registered as a kayaker. The kayak division has only 11 eligible fish, and the open division has 16 eligible species of fish. You can register in both divisions.
If you register in the Open Division and also register and pay to be in the Kayak Division, you can fish both divisions. One Captain’s Bag per Angler even if registered in Open and Kayak divisions. However, one fish cannot win more than one category. For example: If you had a large Snapper and when you weighed in, someone already had a larger snapper in the Kayak division – you could decide to enter your fish in the Open Division. Fish weighed for the kayak division must be caught from a kayak.
The Captain’s meeting – is a euphemism for an “angler” meeting. Basically – we dub everyone with a paid ticket – a captain.

- Captain’s bag / t-shirt pickup Friday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at captain’s meeting and Saturday at weigh-in at Juana’s Pagodas
- Captain’s bags / t-shirts not picked up by Sunday at 4 p.m. will be forfeited
No, but we will only hold prizes for 15 days after the event.
No. However, the Santa Rosa County Commissioners declared rodeo weekend – admission free. You can thank them by emailing them at bocc@santarosa.fl.gov.
