Where do I purchase my tickets for the rodeo?

Tickets can be purchased through the APP Fishing Chaos. A link is available through the navarrefishingrodeo.com website. Tickets can also be purchased at Half Hitch Navarre and Holley Bait and Tackle until noon Oct. 3, 2025.

Can I buy my tickets in person with cash instead of online?

Yes! Half Hitch Tackle in Navarre or Holley Bait & Tackle on Hwy. 87 S in Holley has tickets for sale. You must purchase them before or at the Captain’s Meeting Friday, Oct. 3.

What qualifies as a standup paddle board for the kayak division?

A non-motorized floating platform that is not anchored to a stationary object.

Does a pedal kayak qualify for the Kayak Division or does it have to be paddle?

A pedal kayak does qualify for the Kayak Division – as long as there is no motor.

What is the age limit for Junior Division registration?

Children 12 and under may participate in the Junior Division at no cost with a registered adult angler. Children over the age of 13 may register and participate in the Open or Kayak division.

What are the tournament prizes?

Each division has fish categories which have three opportunities to win. First place is $125, second place is $75 and third place is $25. Junior anglers will receive first, second and third place trophies according to the standings in the junior division fish categories.

How can I weigh-in a species of fish outside my division?

Each division has eligible fish and can only be weighed if you are registered in that division. If you wish to participate outside of your division, you must be a paid angler in both divisions.

What is the “Captains” meeting?

At the captains meeting, each angler will be “checked-in” to the event and at that time can pick up their captains bag and rodeo shirt. The weighmaster will be present to talk about the rules and answer any questions from anglers. It is an important meeting and can eliminate any unforeseen difficulties with registration.

Do I have to be present to win at the Awards Ceremony on Sunday?

You do not have to be present to collect your award on Sunday, however, we will only hold awards for 30 days after the event. You may pick up your winnings at Navarre Press, 7502 Harvest Village Court in Navarre. You must be present to win door prizes.

Does my rodeo ticket cover my admission to the Navarre Beach fishing pier?

It does not, however, our Santa Rosa County Commissioners have declared Oct. 4 & 5 a fish free weekend on the pier. Please thank them by emailing bocc@santarosa.fl.gov.

Can fish be weighed in both days?

Yes, scales are open from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Fish can be weighed on both days.

What if I don’t have a boat?

You don’t need a boat to fish in the rodeo. You can fish from the shore, pier, bridge, a dock or the causeway.

Do I need a fishing license to fish in the rodeo?

Yes. All state and federal rules must be followed. Saltwater licenses cover both watercraft and shoreline fishing. Please visit myfwc.com to see license requirements. Youth under the age of 16 do not have to have a fishing license. By virtue of the Navarre Beach Pier’s saltwater pier license, you may fish the pier without a license. If you are fishing only from shorelines and attached structures accessible by foot, a free shoreline license is required.
